| French wins Euro Poker Tour | 18th September, 2005 |
France. Sweden. Finland. These are the top three nations in a European Poker Tour Season 2 showdown that took place in Barcelona. Winner Jan Boubli expressed great joy and pride after winning the million dollar tournament that lead to a massive 416,000 € cheque.
A total of 325 qualified professionals participated in the European Poker Tour. The tournament held many surprises as people expected World Poker Tour veteran Gus Hansen to win. At the final board he instead finished at fifth place with a total of 78,000 €.
The second season of the EPT will continue in London later this month. A full schedule of listed events can be seen on the EPT website.
