| Poker revenues reach $60bn | 3rd March, 2006 |
Don't worry about the poker scene. It's far from dead, as the world's top poker companies announced a total of $60 billion in revenues in 2005. It's an astonishing all time high record and an indication that we're still growing.
The world's largest poker empire Party Poker is still on top of everyone else and has recently grown slightly stronger after updating its poker skin with bug fixes and major tournament improvements. But there are others in the soap as well. Let's not forget newcomers like Pacific Poker, which have doubled in revenues.
We would like to point out that these figures only tell what the major poker companies earned last year. This obviously excludes smaller poker sites as well as other areas of income, such as casinos and web site business. | | | - written by Betty Holden |
